Karen at Karaoke Party

Hi! Nelba... I'm Karen:

I chose the song "My heart will go on" because it is the song of my favorite film, Titanic, because I love the lyrics and I enjoy listening to  Celine Dion... I like the activity of the karaoke party a lot to improve my pronounciation. I love singing so, I like this activity. I think it was a great idea to work on that website, I' ll continue using that page for practicing my English pronounciation.

See you!!

Thank you , Karen  for  your comment! I am very happy to know you liked the activity . Hugs, Nelba

Pink Floyd

Hello, everybody:

Last week I visited Jóvenes6 course because they are developing a wiki which will become an online magazine by the end of the school year. They are supposed to choose a topic and write a short article illustrating it with videos and or photos.

One of the groups will write about Pink Floyd. Have you ever heard of them?  Well, they were very famous in the late '70s for their rock opera called "The Wall".

I would like to inlude a video here where you can listen and read the lyrics - you can sing along , if you want to ;)

Now Play and Learn with the Words of the lyrics:

Game 1: Scramble
You are supposed to guess the word from scrambled letters. You may listen and read a hint. Click HERE to play

Improving our English Pronounciation: Do you like singing?

Hello,

May 25th

How are you? Enjoying this looonnnnnggg weekend?
I am sure you are!  so am I ;-)

I like music and singing - who does not? I listen to music as often as I can: when I go walking, do some housework or work. I sometimes find it difficult to concentrate on work when I listen to music because if I like the song, I stop working and start singing!!!

Surfing the net, I came across this website  http://www.karaokeparty.com/
and loved it. Isn´t it cool for practising your English pronounciation ?

You only need a microphone, a good voice (ideally), choose the song you want to sing, wait till it is buffered and the lyrics appear to be sung at the pace of the music.

You get a mark after singing. I am afraid my mark on
intonation - not pronounciation- is not very good

Activity:  Visit Karaoke party website, choose a song, sing it and take a shot of the screen showing your result (like the one above), then open PAINT and paste the image.  Save it as  *.JPG file and send it to me (escuelaunlp@yahoo.com.ar) + some lines saying why you chose that song + your opinion of this tool to improve your pronounciation. Remeber to include: Name + course
